Sharon Schroeder, WHNP

Women’s Health

Sharon Schroeder is a board-certified Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner who has cared for women at all stages of their lives, from teen years through menopause.  She first discovered her desire to be a nurse at the age of five.  She has experience caring for pregnant women, performing annual women’s exams, managing menopausal symptoms, urinary incontinence, vaginal prolapse and gynecology problems. Being a nurse is more than a job for Sharon. It’s her way to show God’s love to all.

Sharon desires for her relationship with patients to be built on trust by listening and providing education so they can make healthy choices they believe in and will improve their quality of life.  One of the greatest joys for Sharon is getting to know her patients and providing them with competent, compassionate care.

Sharon grew up in a small rural town in Kansas.  She started as a labor and delivery nurse.  Then returned to school and received her graduate degree as a clinical nurse specialist and practiced high-risk obstetrics in hospitals for over 15 years.  When Sharon moved to Denver, she received her post-master’s certificate as a women’s health nurse practitioner from the University of Colorado.  Sharon has received nursing honors for her care and knowledge from peers and patients which have been as meaningful to her as her graduate degrees.  She has also had the privilege of caring for women and children in the Dominican Republic as a nurse on mission trips.

In Sharon’s free time, she enjoys traveling to Hawaii, hiking with her yellow lab, exercising hard in a spinning class, volunteering at her church, and boating with her husband and two young adult children.
